JLPS Ireland closes Flydubai 737 Max sale-and-leaseback

JP Lease Products & Services Co., Ltd and JLPS Ireland Limited are delighted to announce the acquisition, on behalf of its Japanese investors, of a new Boeing 737 8 MAX aircraft in a sale and leaseback transaction with its valued customer, Dubai-based carrier flydubai. 

 

This is the first aircraft financing transaction closed with flydubai in 2023. “We are delighted to complete this transaction and look forward to building our long-term relationship with flydubai, expanding our presence in the Middle East,” stated Heinrich Loechteken, JLPS Ireland Limited CEO.

 

Arbind Kumar, Senior Vice President, Finance at flydubai commented: “we are pleased to take delivery of this aircraft and add JLPS Ireland Limited as a valued partner. We continuously seek to diversify our fleet financing and we look forward to building on this successful relationship as flydubai grows its fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.”

 

flydubai operates a single fleet-type of 79 Boeing 737 aircraft and includes: 30 Next-Generation Boeing 737-800, 46 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 3 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.

 

Debt financing for this aircraft acquisition is provided to JLPS by KEB Hana Bank, The Korean Development Bank and Woori Bank as mandated lead arrangers.
